Subject: The Best of Industrial Films
This film shows us the interesting world of the railroad by using innovative photographic techniques. The purpose is to show how stills can be reproduced with dramatic artistry on Champion International paper stock for books, etc. The whole feel is chic yet charming. The narrator, Gerald Mohr, has a warm, classic voice. The storyline is tight and cohesive and the custom score, which includes a folksy, jazzy version of "I've Been Working on the Railroad" is cool. All in all, as good as gets.
